All participants in Highland Wrestling must wear a kilt, for the wearing of a Highlander's kilt is what separates HIGHLAND wrestling from the wrestling style popular in England's Lake District. (In Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, each competitor is required to appear in an embroidered tank-top, plus swim trunks worn over long-johns!)

There will be four divisions in Highland Wrestling: Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, and Lightweight.
